inani money is built so that the honest answer to "where is my data?" is "on your device". That is how the product is made, not just a promise on a page.
Your budget is saved on your own device
Your accounts, spending, envelopes and exchange rates are stored on the phone or computer you use. That is why the app works with no connection: everything it needs is already with you.
An account adds sync, and only sync
Signing in backs up the same budget and brings it to your other devices. It is kept separate from every other household - one account can never see another’s figures.
You never hand over a bank login
inani money does not connect to your bank. You add what you have and record what you spend, so nobody - including us - ever holds your banking details.
Staying signed out means nothing leaves
You do not need an account. Used without signing in, no financial figure is sent anywhere at all.
The optional advisor is off until you turn it on
It is the one feature that sends anything off your device. It stays off until you switch it on, it asks plainly before the first time, and it runs on your own key rather than one of ours.
Download or delete everything, whenever you like
Your whole budget can be downloaded in one tap, with or without an account. You can erase it from a device, or from the device and the cloud together - two separate choices, stated as such.
No trackers in the app
The app carries no advertising or analytics scripts. Nothing watches what you do inside it.
Before launch: this is a plain-English summary of how the product behaves, not a legal privacy policy. It still needs a formal policy, a named data controller and a real contact address.
